Pockets of sleet, snow & freezing rain are possible until midnight-2AM across inland areas tonight as the cold air lingers for a time. Temperatures will slowly rise overnight as the rain shield lifts in from the southwest. The steadiest rain will fall through Saturday morning...there is even a chance of a thunderstorm as this strong system lifts to our northwest. Clouds will linger through the afternoon even though the rain will push to our east.
Clouds may linger Sunday, especially across the southeastern part of the area as ow pressure forms south of Cape Cod. There is even a chance that the Cape could get grazed by some light snow Sunday afternoon but that appears to be a long shot at this point. Colder air spills in Sunday night and stays with us through Wednesday morning.
