East Greenwich native Jill Craybas was defeated Friday in the second round of the Australian Open women's qualifying singles.
Aleksandra Krunic, of Serbia, defeated Craybas, 6-3, 7-6 (5).
Craybas rallied from a set down to win her first qualifying match, 1-6, 7-5, 7-5.
Craybas has not missed a main draw appearance in a major since the 2000 U.S. Open.
Her best performance at the Australian Open was making the third round in 2004.
She is ranked No. 152 in singles.
