Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford said he was surprised by owner John Henry's offseason comments that he didn't want to bring in Crawford as a high-priced free agent.
Crawford told The Boston Globe it's "unfortunate" Henry feels that way and that he wishes "those words hadn't come out."
Crawford told ESPN Boston that "the odds are good" that he'll be in the lineup on opening day.
Crawford is in Fort Myers early so the Sox can monitor his surgically repaired left wrist. He played catch at the Red Sox spring training facility earlier Monday.
