The Swansea Fire Department is getting a grant to purchase some new equipment.
The department received about $370,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The Herald News reports the money will be used to buy breathing apparatus equipment, including air packs, masks, and oxygen bottles.
The grant involved 30 rewrites before it was approved.
