Tiverton high school installs new security cameras

» 2 Comments | Post a Comment

Tiverton High School has installed security cameras that can record and store two weeks of activity.

The Newport Daily News reports that the eight cameras cost $4,800 and are being paid for with grant money.

School officials also say they're considering a donation of 20 additional cameras from a bank.

Those cameras would be used in hallways, and officials say they would help them catch students who are cutting class or committing acts of vandalism.
