A chemistry teacher at Central Falls High School is no longer teaching, and it may have to do with behavior off school grounds, NBC 10 has learned.
Sources told NBC 10 the female teacher was allegedly partying with drugs and having sex with one or more of her students.
Agatha Vargas was a student in the teacher's class. She said the teacher got a little too close to the students every day after school.
"We'd be in her room, it was the only chill spot," she said.
Vargas said it was a social hangout.
Superintendant Frances Gallo declined to talk about the allegations but released a statement that said, "There is an investigation involving a Central Falls employee. In order to protect the integrity of the investigation, we cannot release any information about the employee or the incident. The person has been removed from the District and the Rhode Island State Police is handling the matter."
Charges have not been filed against the teacher, NBC 10 reported.
