Major General Kevin McBride, Adjutant General of Rhode Island and Commanding General of the Rhode Island National Guard promoted Col. Donald Lagor to Brigadier General.
Lagor also assumed command as the Assistant Adjutant General – Air for the Rhode Island National Guard.
He has most recently served as the Director of Staff for Air, Rhode Island National Guard since 2004.
Lagor replaces Brigadier General Paul Ayers, who is moving on to the National Security Administration as the Air National Guard liaison.
