Warwick police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Mobil gas station.

Police released a surveillance photo of the man in the parking lot of the Mobil station at 1050 Bald Hill Road at about 6 a.m. Monday.

Police said the man threatened a clerk and said he had a shotgun.  The man grabbed money from the cash register and fled.

Police described the robber as a white man in his 20s, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall.  He weighs about 180 pounds.  He was wearing a blue jacket with a fur-lined white hood, khakis and sneakers.

Investigators said the robber discarded the jacket, a cap and a paintball gun about a quarter-mile away.

Police said the coat is an unusual Foursquare snowboarding jacket sold in 2007 at two local specialty stores.

Warwick police asked anyone who knows the man or his whereabouts to call them at 401-468-4200.
