A Providence man was ordered held Thursday on federal drug charges.
Luis Perez, 29, appeared in U.S. District Court, and charged with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.
Drug agents and members of the Rhode Island State Police SWAT team executed a search warrant Thursday morning at Perez's house, where they found more than 100 grams of heroin contained in three plastic bags.
Police also seized various items, including a ledger that was found in a dresser drawer in Perez's bedroom and was allegedly used in the packing and sale of the drugs.
