Attleboro animal control came to the rescue of a cat that became stuck in a storm drain.
The Sun Chronicle reported that Jazz fell through a storm grate Wednesday on Winterberry Lane. The cat's owner happened to be walking by and heard its cries.
The cat was hanging on by its claws. The owner managed to grab it by the scruff, but the cat was frightened by a loud noise and fell down the drain.
An animal control officer went down the pipe to rescue the cat.
Jazz was checked out at a vet, and except for a cut was OK. He will be 2 on Valentine's Day.
His owner said Jazz will be an indoor cat from now on.
