The capture of Osama bin Laden would not have been possible without the work and skill of an elite group of Navy SEALs.
Dave Rogers is a former Navy SEAL who lives in Rhode Island and knows first hand about this sort of command.
Rogers told NBC 10 this type of command is specific. They specialize in counter terrorism missions, which are difficult and complicated
"You have to make a series of split-second decisions, dozens of them," Rogers said.
Sunday night's news of bin Laden's capture and death spread quickly across the world. The Navy SEALs found bin Laden inside a compound in Pakistan.
"I don't think you can overstate the difficulty of this kind of mission," Rogers said. "You do not know what's around the next corner. It's like a horror movie."
No American casualties were reported during this mission. Rogers says he's proud to have served as a Navy SEAL.
