»  Comments | Post a Comment

Good news for those who use wheelchairs, at Swansea Town Hall.

A new, fully accessible restroom inside the building has been completed.

Until now, the only restrooms were on the second floor.

The Herald News reports, the new restroom was built to make the building more compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Students from Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River helped with the construction, as part of their class work, at no charge to the town.

Licensed contractors did the specialized work, including wiring and plumbing.
