A groundbreaking is set for a project to redevelop a former rope factory in Hopkinton into 14 affordable housing units.

The ceremony on the redevelopment of the Rockville Mill building is scheduled for Monday afternoon. The building currently houses a post office and business storage, and will be mixed-use when it is finished.

Among those expected to attend are U.S. senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse.

Officials with the Community Development Corporation, Rhode Island Housing and U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development are also expected to attend.
