A groundbreaking was held Monday for the Blackstone Valley Community Health Care's
new medical complex.
U.S. Sen. Jack Reed helped push for $500,000 in federal funding to build the 32,000 square-foot medical campus in Pawtucket.
The complex will include a diagnostic laboratory as well as pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, and general medicine services.
The new, three-story building is expected to be complete in fall of 2012.
