Santa Claus has his sleigh. Linda Landofi, however, has a school bus.
On Tuesday it was packed with bags and bags of donated toys and gifts to be delivered across Rhode Island for Children's Friend.
The group is a non-profit organization founded in 1834 to help children and families.
"I have been working for Children's Friend since 2002. This is my ninth season, ninth holiday drive," Landofi said.
However, it was the children's reactions that transformed Landofi into an elf.
"I came into work the first holiday season with a hat and the kids loved it and the employees liked it. So I thought, 'I'll try a shirt next year'. From a shirt it led to a hat, shirt and pants and every year we do two or three characters," she said.
Landofi will continue to make deliveries until the holidays are over, giving one gift at a time and getting back one smile at a time.
