EAST GREENWICH, R.I. -- Police are continuing their investigation into an assault outside a home in East Greenwich.
Detectives were on the scene late into the night after they got the call at about 10 p.m. Thursday.
The woman on Hunters Crossing said she was jumped from behind after she got out of her car.
Because it was dark, the woman said she couldn't tell police if her attacker was a man or woman.
But she was able to break away and ran inside the house to call 911.
She suffered some scratches on her neck and chest. Police said she did go back to work on Friday.
