Warwick city offices closed Friday

The city of Warwick reminded residents in a news release that the last of the city’s four unpaid furlough days is in effect Friday, May 14.

The city said the following offices will be closed:

All City Hall Offices
All City Hall Annex Offices
Police Department administration offices, except Prosecution, Dispatch and Garage
Fire Department administration offices, except Fire Alarm
Warwick Sewer Authority administration offices
Pilgrim Senior Center
Buttonwoods Community Center
Parks and Recreation administration offices and McDermott and therapeutic pool
Water Division
Public Works, all offices except Sanitation/Recycling (see below)
Animal Shelter

Please note that the following will be open for regular business on furlough days:

Warburton and Thayer ice rinks
Animal Control

The Warwick Public Library’s last furlough day will be May 21. The library will be open on May 14.

Residents are advised that that trash and recycling collection will take place as usual on all furlough days.

As always, those with emergencies should call 911.
