Carcieri nominates Warwick lawyer for Family Court

PROVIDENCE -- A Warwick lawyer has been nominated to serve on Rhode Island's Family Court.

Gov. Don Carcieri on Tuesday picked Karen Lynch Bernard for a judgeship.

Lynch Bernard specializes in family and juvenile law. She was also a former assistant city solicitor in Warwick.

Carcieri said Lynch Bernard's "patience, integrity and zealousness" will make her an asset on the court.
