FALL RIVER, Mass. -- Massachusetts State Police say a fatal crash on Interstate 195 Sunday night remains under investigation.
Troopers say one woman was killed in a single-car crash on the westbound side of the I-95 near Exit 8A in Fall River, at about 8:30 p.m.
Police have identified the driver as Patricia Cardoza, 65, of Somerset. She was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Fall River Fire Department and local EMS personnel also assisted at the scene.
The high speed lane of Route 195 was closed for approximately two hours during the crash investigation.
