Sex center blocked from opening

»  Comments | Post a Comment

PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A sex education business won't be allowed to open on Main Street in Pawtucket, at least for now.

The Pawtucket Times reports the owner of the new Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health (CSPH) has been notified that zoning doesn't allow for an educational use at the site.

Some city officials have said they feel the business is inappropriate. The paper also reports the owner, Megan Andelloux, testified this summer to keep indoor prostitution legal in the state, in the midst of the controversy to close that loophole unique in Rhode Island law.
