At Brewer's Cove Haven Marina in Barrington they say they are not immune to the economy, but have been able to weather these tough times.

The business says it is investing in employees, over the last three years the Brewer Group has invested $7 million in infrastructure at its seven locations in Rhode Island.

Cove Haven General Manager Mike Keyworth says one of the reasons they've been able to invest money and stay profitable is that they have little debt. And Keyworth says, despite high gas prices, most people are still using their boats, just in different ways and that 40 percent of their business comes from out of state.

Right now the marina employs 30 people at this Barrington boatyard, anticipating, potentially, more hiring when things pick up in the spring.
