CHARLESTOWN, R.I. -- Some town workers in Charlestown helped deliver a baby Thursday, right outside town hall.
Katherine Higbee, 24, was on her way to the hospital in the midst of the snow and freezing temperatures when, apparently, her baby just couldn't wait any longer.
Higbee's mother, who was driving, pulled into the parking lot. Three town employees rushed to their aid with blankets and coats.
Higbee delivered a healthy baby girl right there in the car.
Officials said mom and baby are doing fine.
