The foreclosure crisis is forcing pet owners around Rhode Island to abandon their cats or dogs.
Staff at the Chariho Westerly Animal Rescue League says its 17-year-old building is at capacity.
However in June, the league will move into a new home five times the size.
The league says it needs it.
