NEW YORK - East Coast airports are back to minimal flight delays, helped in part by the cancellation of hundreds of flights after a major winter storm.

About 1,200 flights at the New York City area's three major airports were canceled despite clear conditions on the runways. By 11 p.m. Sunday, the Federal Aviation Administration was reporting that the average flight delay at East Coast airports was less than 15 minutes.

Still, thousands of travelers needed to find new ways homes after their flights were cancelled.

Like most major airports, Philadelphia International Airport was shut down Saturday night but reopened early Sunday.

At Boston Logan aiport, spokesman Phil Orlandella says flights have been "on and off." He says Monday looks to be a normal day.

T.F. Green Airport is reporting delays and some cancellations.
