Bridge work to close lane on N. Smithfield highway

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bridge work in North Smithfield will shut down lanes on Route 146 next week.

State transportation officials said the right lanes on Route 146 will be closed in both directions at the Forestdale exit to allow for bridge work.

The shutdown is expected to last Monday through Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
