School put on lockdown after ammo found

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- North Smithfield High School was put under lockdown for about two hours after police said someone found a small amount of ammunition in a stairwell.

The school sent a message to parents informing them of the lockdown.

Police said they searched the school with dogs.

Police said nothing else was found and have not made any arrests.
