SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- Students and staffers are still being urged to boil water at the University of Rhode Island's Kingston campus.
The university said Wednesday that the state Health Department's boil water order issued Sunday remains in effect. University officials said they are waiting to hear final results from tests done on a water sample taken from its Biological Sciences Center.
A sample there had tested positive for coliform bacteria. Water sampled from adjacent buildings has remained free from contamination.
