Director of administration resigns
PROVIDENCE – The director of the Rhode Island Department of Administration has resigned.
Jerome Williams accepted a position as senior vice president and chief business and administration officer at Roger Williams University.
Williams was confirmed as director of administration in June 2008, after serving as director of the state Department of Transportation in 2007.
While at the DOT, Williams opened up the first section of the Iway, opened the new Berkley-Martin Bridges and reopened the Blackstone River Bikeway.
Prior to DOT, Williams served as executive director of DOA from 2003 to 2007
