A 9-year-old Somerset girl has died of cancer.
NBC 10 profiled Lauren Costa in 2006 when her parents talked about the girl's battle with leukemia and a brain tumor.
The Herald News reported that Costa died Christmas Day at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River.
Residents raised thousands of dollars over the years to help with her medical care.
Lauren was first diagnosed with the disease when she was 17 months old.
Hundreds are expected to attend her funeral Friday.
