Scituate softball team captures title

Scituate High School beat Tolman Wednesday night, 10-7.
PROVIDENCE—The Scituate girls softball team won its first ever Rhode Island Interscholastic League Division III title with a 10-7 win over Tolman on Wednesday.
The Spartans swept the series 2-0.
The Tigers trailed 10-3 entering the bottom of the seventh inning and scored four runs before Scituate’s Shannon Audet ended the rally by striking out the final batter.
