No, they were not tainted because there were 102 other players in baseball that tested positive. Every team had their share of “cheaters”. The best teams are more likely to have more players on PEDs.Don’t forget the sox had to play the yankees who had players on banned substances.Steriods are part of baseball in this era.

It kind of figured!  Since when they had very little of a chance without Schilling/Manny/Ortiz, you can bet they’ll be a big fat * after 2003 World Series Title, and Ortiz can kiss goodbye to the Hall!

No way should they be considered “tainted”. If anyone believes no one on the opposing teams weren’t doing the same thing….you’re wrong! Anyways, it was years ago and lets live in the present. If the players are dumb enough to be doing them now that’s where the problem should lie..not 5 years ago!!

The only way the title’s become tainted is if a team the Red Sox went up against didn’t have anyone who tested positive for the illegal substances, otherwiswe there were cheaters on every team.
