Providence Friars to be introduced to fans

PROVIDENCE—Providence basketball fans can catch a late-night glimpse of the Friars.
The team is being introduced Friday night at the annual Late Night Madness event at Alumni Hall. The 10 p.m. event also features performances from a hip hop artist and a pep band and contests for the fans.
Men’s coach Keno Davis will lead the Friars, which last season went 19-14, onto the court. The women’s team, which is coached by Phil Seymore and finished 10-20 last year, also will be introduced.
