LONDON—The New England Patriots apparently have quite a few fans in old England as well.

The first 70,000 tickets for the NFL’s third regular-season game in London between the Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season have been sold, with 20,000 bought in the first seven minutes of availability.

The last two NFL games at Wembley Stadium were sellouts.

NFL UK managing director Alistair Kirkwood says the league is “delighted” with fan reaction in a challenging economic climate.

Fans in New England and Tampa Bay will have a chance to purchase tickets at a later date.

The game will be played on Oct. 25.
