Parkhurst signs with Danish club

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.—Former MLS rookie of the year Michael Parkhurst has signed with FC Nordsjaelland of SAS Ligaen in Denmark’s first division after spending four years with the New England Revolution.
Parkhurst, who was named MLS defender of the year in 2007, moves to his new club in January after his MLS contract expires at the end of 2008.
The 24-year-old played 115 games with the Revolution after being chosen with the ninth pick of the MLS SuperDraft. He scored one goal.
