Garrick joins women’s staff at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Tom Garrick, former head women’s basketball coach at the University of Rhode Island, is joining the Vanderbilt staff.

Garrick has spent the past 11 years coaching at his alma mater, including the last five as head coach when his teams went 56-112.

Garrick was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in 1988 and played in the NBA for four seasons, including stints in San Antonio, Minnesota and Dallas.

At Vanderbilt, he succeeds Lisa Cermignano, who joined the staff at Illinois.
