Eagles take home team, individual golf titles

CRANSTON, R.I.—Barrington swept the Interscholastic League state championships on Wednesday at Cranston Country Club as the Eagles captured the team title and Barrington senior Ed Hjerpe won the individual crown.

Led by Hjerpe’s 36-hole total of 144, the Eagles won the team title over second-place Hendricken. East Greenwich finished third.

Hjerpe won the individual title with a two-stroke win over Toll Gate’s Tyler Cooke and Barrington’s Jared Adams.
