BOSTON—The Boston Bruins have sent Guillaume Lefebvre back to the team’s AHL affiliate in Providence.

The team said in a statement released Monday that Lefebvre was recalled from Providence on an emergency basis on Saturday. He made his Bruins debut in the team’s 4-1 loss in Phoenix.

Lefebvre was originally invited to Boston’s training camp on a tryout agreement and signed a one-year contract on Sep. 26. He has one assist and 42 penalty minutes in five games this year for Providence.
