Belichick: Little mistakes led to loss

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.—New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick says a lot of little things led to their loss to the Colts.
Belichick said Monday that if New England had done any of those things correctly it probably would have made a difference in Sunday night’s 18-15 loss at Indianapolis.
Among the most damaging plays were Jabar Gaffney’s drop of a likely touchdown pass and David Thomas’ penalty that likely deprived the Patriots of a field goal attempt in the fourth quarter.
Belichick also said in a conference call that quarterback Matt Cassel continued to improve, but the Patriots need to do a better job inside the 20-yard line on both offense and defense.
