Providence F Alex Kellogg transfers to Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio—Alex Kellogg has transferred from Providence to Ohio University and will be eligible to play basketball for the Bobcats at the start of the 2010-11 season.

He’s the son of former player and current TV analyst Clark Kellogg.

Ohio University officials announced on Friday that Alex Kellogg had enrolled at the school.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward played in 33 games over the last two years at Providence, starting one game.

He is a Columbus native who played at DeSales High School, where he was an all-state performer as a senior.
