What an Idol show!!!! Cyndi Lauper, Rod Stewart (who almost tripped and fell on live TV - ouch!), Lionel Richie, Santana, Black Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, KISS, Queen and Keith Urban!!!!! It’s so funny that the “big stars” didn’t want anything to do with Idol in the early years. Now it seems like EVERYONE wants a piece. Did you see the people in the audience??? Idol has become part of the “IT” factor. Did you see the the unbelievable schooling by Kara with Bikini Girl. She totally outsang her!!! Bikini Girl should be embarassed! And, not to mention that I think Kara looked better in a bikini! HA!
The show was great! 2 hours flew by. I’m glad they didn’t try to stretch it to 3 hours. My kids had to get to bed for school!
And, in the end - Kris Allen FREAKIN’ WON!! What the???!!!! As I said - Adam should have won. But I had a feeling that voters would root for the underdog. I wonder how far apart the votes were? The auditors said that they had almost 1 million voters. I wonder the percentage? KRIS ALLEN??? SERIOUSLY???!!! The Sleeper??? I am totally shocked. I think you may have heard my gasp from your house. My entire family was piled into my bedroom to watch the show and it was completely shocking! Adam took it well. He acted like he was fine, but I’m sure he was crushed. I was proud of him (and his reaction) but I’m sure he was shocked by the result. He was totally the front-runner and this announcement was a shocker. A shocker for sure.
As my husband Manny said - now Adam can do “his own” album. And it’s so true. I’m sure there are Idol rules and now Adam doesn’t have to follow those rules. He’s so unique and he can create a unique album. Kris has to follow the Idol rules while Adam can go out on his own. But then again - we can see how that worked (or didn’t work) for Bo Bice. Has anyone heard of his happenings since Idol? Carrie Underwood won and Bo went where?? Anyone? Bueller? Having your own unique sound is great. But if you get too weird and offtrack - it can derail your career real quick. Mainstream wins - whether true AHTEESTS like it or not (AHTEESTS = posh form of Artists).
But it seems so weird. Kris Allen - American Idol Season 8. Adam will be just fine. Just fine… Kris Allen - hmmmm? One hit wonder? We’ll see.

Ok, I think the voters are either blind or DEAF! Adam should have been a shoe-in to win. He was definetly a much better singer that Kris. I honestly believe that this was either that too many “teeny-boppers” were voting for Kris, and I will admit he is cute, OR that it was the fact that Adam was openly gay. Come on people (especially YOU jhaze, HELLO), this is not a “sexual orientation” competition, this is a singing competition, or have you forgotten who was the better singer here!! This is 2009, it’s time to grow up and stop being so prejudice alreay!!! I get so mad that people have to look outside of someones natural talent to find what they consider a “falt” and judge them on that! I am so glad that no one found out that David Cook was gay until after the show was over or he may have been gone long before his time also. I don’t think Adam has anything to worry about, the recording companies will be on him faster than flies on sh**.

Kris Allen rocks! He has earned the title of American Idol with his amazing talent and I am betting if the vote tally from last night were to be released it would be by a wide margin. The media may have tried to make Adam it’s darling but Ameirca did not. I have bought all Kris’s songs on I Tunes, along with some of the others from this season like Danny, Allyson and Matts but none of Adams. His screaching and almost tearful, overly dramatic performances did nothing for me. Kris will sell millions of albums, Adam is more of a “stage” performer and I’m just not sure that even those who loved him on the show will rush out to buy his albums. America got this one right!

You put 1 million votes….There were 100 million if I do believe. Kris was my pick. Adam was just too weird, gay, and over the top. If you don’t think he’s gay just do a Google image search and there he is making out with men.

What is wrong with america? I cannot even beleive what just happened on “Idol” minutes ago? Do you know what the problem is ... I will tell you. Number one - It’s the young children voting for their little heart-throb kris, not understanding that this is a “singing” competition! For the record - “Adam is INCREDIBLY gorgeous”! Number two - I feel that some people were against him because of his personal “Preferances”! Which in this case is totally shallow and heartless. His is a person - A person with incredible singing ability and stage presence ... that is what matters - period. It’s ok ... Adam will be a star!
