Mia DiBenedetto returned to NBC 10 in 1996 to manage the station's first Internet site in cooperation with MSNBC. Turnto10.com has since become the market's leading Internet news Web site.
During her career at NBC 10, DiBenedetto worked as a consumer producer and assignment editor. She left NBC 10 in 1994 to work as chief technical writer for the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Brown University.
Prior to working at WJAR, DiBenedetto worked for the Providence Journal in the planning and design of the first-in-the-nation cable text news and graphic service. She also was an instructor of journalism at The Ohio State University and the University of Rhode Island.
She is a member of the Curriculum Task Force at The Ohio State University and serves on the Web Steering Committee for the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE).
DiBenedetto attended The Ohio State University where she earned an M.A. degree in Journalism and an M.S. degree in Psychology. She also attended Loyola University in Chicago.
DiBenedetto lives in Wickford with her beloved dogs and loves to participate in competitive sporting clays.
