Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How does mobile text marketing work?
A. The advertiser provides some kind of special offer to collect mobile phone numbers (i.e. Restaurant puts an offer on a table tent that says, "TEXT RESTAURANT NAME TO 82672 TO RECEIVE A FREE APPETIZER"). The consumer texts that trigger code and receives an instant coupon sent to his/her cell phone. To redeem the coupon, the consumer would show that coupon to his/her server to receive the free appetizer. To get more coupons, the message teases the customer to opt in for future messages. Next week, that restaurant then sends a list of specials to that person (and all of the other people who opted in to receive messages from that restaurant). This special offer and text trigger code should be included in all outside advertising media (online, television, radio, newspaper, magazine, store signage, outdoor signage, etc). The goal is to collect as many mobile numbers as possible to make your marketing efforts successful..

Q. Is it hard to send a message?
A. Absolutely not! There is a simple login/password and you can send the message yourself. Or, if you are more comfortable, we can send the message for you.

Q. When the message is sent, do you also include the NBC 10 logo on it?
A. No. The general consumer as no idea that we are providing you with this service. The message is YOUR message. There is no connection to NBC 10 or turnto10.com to the general consumer.

Testimonial

“Within minutes we were seeing the response. I had asked my web developer to add the link to the front of the site and knew that he had done it because I had 10 people register immediately. One of my retail managers added the text code to the bottom of his receipt…over the weekend he received 5 orders via the text coupon. In 5 days we had nearly $600 in sales that we might not have had if the customers had not opted in to our text program.”
