Rapp Session question of the week
Remember when Lincoln Chafee was appointed to fill his father’s seat in the Senate? Was that cool?
Both chambers of the General Assembly in Rhode Island have passed bills that would call for an election instead of an appointment.
What do you think? Should the governor have the power to appoint a U.S. senator if the seat becomes vacant?
E-mail me at the Rapp Session and I’ll have you’re best answers Friday at 5 p.m.
