Kennedy returns to House for global warming vote

WASHINGTON—Rep. Patrick Kennedy has returned to the House to cast a vote on a major global warming bill.
Kennedy spokeswoman Kerrie Bennett said Friday the congressman had left the medical facility where he was receiving treatment because he wanted to vote on an issue he considers important for Rhode Island as well as the nation.
Kennedy was expected to return to the undisclosed facility after the vote to continue his treatment.
The congressman, who has struggled with depression, alcoholism and addiction for much of his life, checked into the facility earlier this month. The son of Sen. Edward Kennedy has called his treatment “a lifelong process.“

Cost to the American people? Increase gasoline tax-77 cent a gallon, jet fuel-83 cents, diesel-88 cents. Increase in all products due to increased transportation costs. Decrease? Jobs, jobs and more jobs. The Democrats have put us on the brink of collapse-this legislation is the nail in the coffin.
Rhode Island’s very own version of Alfred E. Newman went to vote on an important bill for Rhode Islanders. Let’s see. He voted to but severe restrictions on coal mining. He voted against nuclear energy development. His father campaigns vigorously against wind farming. Alfred “Patches” voted against drilling. So that leaves us with natural gas and electricity to utilize as energy. So now we’ll be assessed a huge tax on our energy useage. To do what? Go green? Let me tell you how green we’ll be ... our manufacturing businesses will ALL go to either Mexico or China to elminate this crippling operating cost. Neither of those countries have this carbon tax, so they will blissfully reap the profits while and we keep paying. For what? Fewer jobs, fewer businesses here in U.S.A. Do you have any idea who the largest contributor of pollution is? China. Yeah, China. So all this carbon tax money goes ... where? Comes from ... where? Why doesn’t anyone see this???
Hey Patches….I mean Patrick..did Al Gore pick you up in his private jet to take you to vote? What time do you have to be back at the drug rehab center?
