Carcieri To Address State Lawmakers

PROVIDENCE - Rhode Island Governor Don Carcieri will soon explain his priorities for the year to state lawmakers.
A Carcieri spokesman said the governor is scheduled to deliver his annual State of the State Address on Jan. 22.
Carcieri has said that the state's fiscal crisis is certain to dominate this year's political debate.
The state is facing an estimated $600 million budget deficit spread between the fiscal year ending in June and the one following.
