Giant Bead Work
Students in Westerly participated in a giant bead work of art, one that might set the Guiness Book Of World Records.
WESTERLY, R.I. – President Barack Obama is being immortalized in beads.
Fourth-grade students from around the country used small plastic beads to create a giant photo of the president.
The project will eventually measure 9 by 11-and-a-half feet and will be presented to the president on his birthday on Aug. 4.
When completed, it is expected to set a Guinness World Record for largest photo mosaic in the world.
Students from the Bradford School in Westerly took part in the project, which is also being assembled in a warehouse in Westerly.
The project uses PhotoPearls beads and their CEO, Peter Stambeck, is in Rhode Island to help with the assembly.

Ok J9 i was really starting to like you but I have to tell you this. It was not BUSH who put us in the hole. I really need you to google the NY TIMES article regarding Bill Clinton and Barney Frank it was written back in Sept 1992 or 1991 about the pressure they both put on Fannie Mae to lighten up the lending guidelines and start to insure subprime mortgages. Bush tried to stop it when he got into office but it was shot down by the likes of Barney Frank….Please read this article I beg you and it may just change your mind on alot of thing you believe Bush is at fault for.
What is a matter with you people. We are talking about children who do not need their head filled with all this “Grown Up” crap. They are doing something that makes them feel good and might end up in the White House. They don’t care who is in the White House all they know is that they worked on something that ended up there. That would make any child feel good. Let them enjoy being kids.

This is just another example of our public school filling the kid’s heads with political rederick. This guy is such a joke and everyone will see it soon enough when inflation is so bad that you cant even afford a loaf of bread.
Well sometimes it’s nice to read a little bit of fluff in between all the crap that goes on in this state. Still says I’d rather hear a story about this rather than kids bringing knives or guns to school. It shows they can work together and except each other. We need some nice stories once in awhile even if some people don’t consider it to be “News”.

It’s news because you have children working together. They may make the Guinness World Records. I would rather read this than kids fighting or bringing guns to school. What I would like to know who is going to present this to the president.
