Repairs to Providence schools put on hold
Published: September 14, 2009
Improvements to school buildings in Providence may have to wait a year.
The Providence Journal reported that school superintendent Thomas Brady said studies that called for the improvements are no longer valid.
Brady said that long-needed repairs at schools like Mount Pleasant High School and Asa Messer will have to wait until decisions are made to replace the buildings or preserve them for their historic significance.
