LINCOLN, R.I.—Investigators have identified a teacher’s aide as the victim of a fiery crash at Lincoln High School.

The state medical examiner said 34-year-old Jay Paul died when his car crashed through a school entrance and caught fire Friday afternoon. No students were injured.

Lincoln police said they are still investigating what caused the crash. One school secretary saw Paul moments before the incident and said he looked distraught.

Schools superintendent Georgia Fortunato said the high school reopened Monday without incident. Several students and staff members spoke with grief counselors about Paul’s death.
