Asbestos has been found in the Austin T. Levy School in Harrisville.

The Woonsocket Call reported that the discovery was made after a heating coil froze and burst last week.

Water leaked onto the floor, damaging some floor tiles. Testing showed that asbestos was present in the adhesive used to install the tiles.

Further tests revealed there is no health hazard, but repairs will be made during February vacation.
