Worker dies in construction accident

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Mohegan Sun’s tribal safety officials are investigating a fatal construction accident.

The Norwich Bulletin reports an unidentified iron worker died from injuries sustained in a fall Tuesday at the Mohegan Government and Community Center overlooking Route 2A.

Too Bad when so many company’s make fall protection equipment there is no reason not to use them .
When you think of the cost of a life for the cost of new equipment there is no excuse.

Being a proud and worrying mom of a Ironworker (Local 37) and an his dad as well, my heart is heavy.

My deepest sympathies to his family the loss of a brother ironworker.
